Hochtemperaturwerkstoffe
Die Hochtemperaturwerkstoffgruppe am Lehrstuhl für Allgemeine Werkstoffeigenschaften beschäftigt sich mit der erkenntnisorientierten Grundlagen- sowie anwendungsnahen Forschung im Bereich metallischer und intermetallischer Werkstoffe für Hochtemperaturanwendungen.
Der Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf der Untersuchung der Korrelation zwischen den mechanischen Eigenschaften wie Härte, Bruchzähigkeit, Kriech-, Ermüdungs- und Warmfestigkeit und der Mikrostruktur und Zusammensetzung der Werkstoffe. Neben der Verwendung zahlreicher mikroskopischer und mechanischer Prüfverfahren am Lehrstuhl werden auch Synchrotron- und Neutronenstrahlquellen zur Charakterisierung verwendet. Ziel der Forschung ist die Entwicklung und Optimierung insbesondere von Nickel- und Kobaltbasis-Superlegierungen, Titanaluminiden und Oxidationsschutzschichten.
Die Hochtemperaturwerkstoffgruppe arbeitet mit Partnern aus der Flugzeug- und Automobilindustrie zusammen und mehrere Projekte sind Teil von DFG-geförderten Programmen.
